Orange Cake

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • 4 oranges;
  • 2 cups of flour;
  • 2 cups of sugar;
  • 1 spoon of baking soda;
  • 5 soupspoons of sugar;
  • ¾ of a cup of oil.

Procedure:

  • Pre-heat the oven at 180°C;
  • Beat the eggs with 1 orange (without the seeds, but with the skin) and oil in the blender;
  • IMix the flour, the sugar and the baking soda in a bowl;
  • Add the beaten eggs with the orange and the oil and mix them well;
  • Place the dough into a greased baking tin and put it in the oven;
  • Bake it for about 25 minutes.
  • For the syrup, put the juice of 3 oranges and 5 spoons of sugar in a small pan and boil it until it gets thick.
  • As soon as you take the cake out of the oven, make little holes on the top with a stick or fork and then pour the hot orange syrup on it.
